Who We Are

help promote this web siteWe are the people among the 99% and among the 1% who understand that the United States was founded for 100% of the people. We are not partisan Democrats, nor are we affiliated with any other political party. We are committed to eradicating reactionism from our body politic. Tea Party Republicans and Rush Limbaugh devotees especially will find nothing here but contempt for their reactionary political agenda.

We act out of love for our country, and revulsion for the politics of division that is thrusting the nation to the brink of anarchy by decimating the middle class and thrusting the working poor ever deeper into poverty.

Statement of Principle

The term reactionary is not name calling, nor is it used herin simply to vilify Republicans. Reactionary is simply the correct word to use when referring to extremists in the right wing of the Republican party. We realize that not all Republicans are reactionaries, or racist. Nor are all ignorant or, worse yet, stupid, nor vicious and mean spirited hypocrites. We can reflect therefore only that Republicans who deem themselves unduly vilified herein should know that they are known by the company they keep.

The video says it all.

Statement of Intent

walter lippmann argues in favor of a loyal opposition

We are certain that none of the content of this site will have any effect on the reactionary Republican faithful, and we do not care. Nor do we hope to persuade the few faithful who are open to giving thought to the content of this site to change their allegiance. Rather, we hope that they will reject the politics of reactionism and divisiveness that has created gridlock in the democratic process, and strive to reform a party that has again lost sight of their best interests.

Congressional Republicans, believing they have a mandate from the people, have taken up the Tea Party agenda. We hope therefore that those who come to appreciate that their Republican party no longer truly represents them will work toward exorcising the reactionaries from their ranks. A loyal opposition is necessary both within and between the factions within a society.

What we hope to accomplish is cull the rhetorical fiction from the fact and reasoned argument for those non-partisan moderates who are still uncommitted about the reactionary Republican agenda. Additionally, we hope to reenergize those moderate Democrats and liberals, and assure that they participate at the polls in November 2012.

Walter Lippmann, philosopher, journalist and author, is among the preeminent conservative intellectuals of the 20th century. The quote to the right is from his essay, "The Loyal Opposition," and provides an argument about the necessity for a counterbalance to groupthink. The truth in it can be seen today. The Republican party has become so singular in its purpose of discrediting President Barack Obama that it has strayed from its role as loyal opposition, and foresaken the business of governance. The GOP and Big Lie Theory

"The Big Lie (German: Große Lüge) is a propaganda technique. The expression was coined by Adolf Hitler, when he dictated his 1925 book Mein Kampf, about the use of a lie so 'colossal' that no one would believe that someone 'could have the impudence to distort the truth so infamously.' Hitler asserted the technique was used by Jews to unfairly blame Germany's loss in World War I on German Army officer Erich Ludendorff."

Hitler was a master propogandist. We understand today that Hitler had turned his theory around, and told the biggest lie of all. The technique of using a red herring to pin the big lie on the Jews, so distracted the German pople that he became elevated to a position that allowed him to become the most infamous man in recorded history.

Ronald Reagan was of course telling a big lie at the right time. The economy was in a slump, inflation was spiraling out of control, and Americans stood by helplessly while their buying power declined year after year. Had he not promised Americans they would be able to keep more oftheir income, he may not have been elected! Oh, initially he did follow through on his pledge to reduce taxes, but the truth is quite another matter. "The Tax Reform Act of 1986, another bipartisan effort championed by Reagan, reduced the top rate further to 28% while raising the bottom bracket from 11% to 15% and reducing the quantity of brackets to 4."

Today, reactionary Republicans are using the same strategies with great success, and telling the biggest lies in American history. They repeat their lies like a mantra. Heard often enough, and held out with a carrot on it, America has fallen into disaster as a consequence. To understand the truth in this, study and check the facts presented here. The enormity of the lies told by the Republicans will astound even their most ardent critics.

Republicans Heroes

If Republicans have any heroes, they have forgotten what they stood for. If Republicans have heroes, their heroes would surely reject them. If Republicans have heroes, they are not the historical Republicans whose blood was spilled for the United States.

Anti-Heroes

Newt Ginrich

As of December 3, 2011, Newt Ginrich led the in the polls with a 33% approval by likely Republican voters.

"Newt has done some things that have embarrassed House Republicans and embarrassed the House," said Rep. Peter Hoekstra (R-Mich.). "If [the voters] see more of that, they will question our judgment."

Gingrich is probably best known for serving his wife with divorce papers while she was recovering from cancer surgery, so he could marry his mistress, whom he later divorced to marry a staffer.

"I'm not inclined to be a supporter of Newt Gingrich's having served under him for four years and experienced personally his leadership," Coburn told "Fox News Sunday" host Chris Wallace. "I found it lacking often times."

Jon Huntsman

Think Jon Hunstman represents sanity for the GOP in 2012? Guess again:

“In addition to killing tax breaks for businesses, Huntsman would eliminate the mortgage interest deduction, healthcare exclusion, and the child tax credit among other ‘tax expenditures. ‘ We’re talking about a whole herd of sacred cows. . . ."

Sarah Palin

In April of 2009, while still governor, Palin established the AFT as a means of paying what she alleged were more than $500,000 in legal bills owed to her Anchorage-based attorney Thomas Van Flein.

Mitt Romney

When Romney left the governorship of Massachusetts, 11 of his aides bought the hard drives of their state-issued computers to keep for themselves. Also before he left office, the governor's staff had emails and other electronic communications by Romney's administration wiped from state servers, state officials say.
